Will choose Messi over Ronaldo for my team, says Pele

<p>Legendary Brazilian footballer Pele said that he would pick Argentine phenomenon Lionel Messi in his team over Portuguese goal machine Cristiano Ronaldo when asked to comment on which footballer is better. Speaking to former Indian football captain Bhaichung Bhutia Pele said it is difficult to compare Messi and Ronaldo as both have very different styles. He said Ronaldo is a centre forward while Messi is more organised.</p>

Pele on getting selected for the 1958 World Cup

<p>Brazilian football legend Pele spoke at length about his initiation into football at the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit 2018. He said his father was his biggest inspiration, who had encouraged him to take up the sport. He said that he wanted to play for Corinthians but eventually signed up for Santos. Pele was selected for the Brazilian national team for the 1958 FIFA World Cup at the age of 17. He was informed about the news by his friends but Pele said he thought they 'were joking'.</p>

Rahul Gandhi takes on demonetisation, GST and Aadhaar

<p>Congress president Rahul Gandhi speaking at the 16th Hindustan Times Leadership Summit launched a scathing attack on the government, accusing it of imposing a “single, suffocating ideology on 1.3 billion people”. He criticised demonetisation, BJP's concept of Aadhaar and GST. He said that the Congress' version of the GST was completely different from the BJP's vision. “Our vision was a simplified GST. Not designed to harass people,” he said. The theme of this year's Summit is 'Reimagining The Future'. </p>
