Even as union agriculture minister, Sharad Pawar boycotted a cabinet meet in New Delhi, fuelling rumours of a rift between his Nationalist Congress Party and the ruling Congress party, NCP leader Praful Patel has denied any rift between the two parties. NCP leader DP Tripathi, however, said that the incident marked the first time where Pawar had to boycott a cabinet meet.
