‘Iran Attack Not In Vacuum…’: Russia Defends Attack On Israel, Blames UNSC For Tehran’s ‘Reaction’

Russia defended Iran’s missile blitz on Israel at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), saying it was in reaction to Israel’s April 1 attack on Iranian embassy in Syria. “What happened on the night of April 14 did not happen 'in a vacuum.' Iran's steps were a response to the shameful inaction of the United Nations Security Council [and] a response to Israel's blatant attack on Damascus,” Russian envoy to the United Nations said.
