External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has predicted that the world will be “significantly more nationalistic” in the foreseeable future, and the said rise in sentiments reflects “frustration” in many developed societies where nationalism is considered a “bad word”. “Like it or not, the world will be significantly more nationalistic in the foreseeable future...In this context, it is imperative that India clinically evaluate global happenings and calculate its benefits,” Jaishankar said while speaking at the 7th Jasjit Singh Memorial Lecture at the Centre for Air Power Studies in the national capital.
