NASA blasts off 1st rocket from Australia in 27 yrs; Historic launch outside US

For the first time in 27 years, Nasa launched a rocket from a commercial spaceport outside the U.S. The sub-orbital rocket blasted off from Australia's outback. The rocket is Nasa's first of three to blast off from the newly constructed Arnhem Space Centre on the edge of the Northern Territory. The rocket carrying technology likened to a 'mini Hubble' telescope, lifted off about 350 kilometres (218 miles) into the night sky. According to Nasa, it will enable astrophysics studies that can only be undertaken in the Southern Hemisphere. Watch this video for more information.
