Assam, Meghalaya resolve decades-old border row; CMs to meet Amit Shah

The decades old border dispute between Assam and Meghalaya could be nearing a resolution after the state cabinets approved a ‘give-and-take’ formula to sort out the dispute. In the first phase, 6 of the 12 disputed areas are expected to be resolved as the two states have agreed to divide the 36.8 sq km of disputed land at 6 places almost equally. The other six areas, where the disputes are more complicated, would be taken up later. Watch full video.
