A Sikh police officer in West Bengal lost his cool at BJP leaders over alleged Khalistani barb during their march to Sandeshkhali. “If I was not wearing a turban, would you have called me Khalistani? You can say what you want about the police, but you can't comment on my religion,” the turbaned police officer is seen saying in a video shared by West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee who accused the BJP of “divisive politics”. Bengal BJP chief Rahul Sinha confirmed that the police officer was indeed subjected to the religious taunt, but added that the party respects the Sikh community.
