Doval ‘talks’ Predator drone deal with U.S.; Indian forces to get more teeth amid China threat

Indian armed forces will soon get the deadly U.S.-made MQ-9B predator-armed drones. India and the U.S. are keen on concluding the $3 billion deal as soon as possible. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is believed to have discussed the deal during his visit to the U.S. The agreement was announced in 2017 but has stalled for unknown reasons. India will get 30 drones—10 each for three services. It will enhance India's overall surveillance apparatus along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the Indian Ocean.
