How the UK has repeatedly failed India

The latest attacks on the Indian High Commission in London by pro-Khalistan groups have evoked outrage in India. These latest attacks point to a disturbing trend, where Britain has repeatedly failed to secure India's diplomatic presence in the UK. HT's Shashank Mattoo looks at five instances in history where Britain has failed to provide adequate security to Indian diplomats in the UK. Mattoo finds examples of British negligence ranging from the 1970s to the 2019 protests after the abrogation of Article 370. While British politicans and authorities are quick to say all the right things, concrete action has been lacking.
