Indian Army’s plan to buy 13,000 helmets angers Sikh community. Here’s why

The Sikh community is up in arms over reports of the Indian Army planning to buy 13,000 helmets for Sikh soldiers. Akal Takht and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) protested against the Indian Army’s proposal and asked the Central government to withdraw the decision. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami has written a letter to Union defence minister Rajnath Singh.
