Manipur: Cops Reveal Chilling Details In Killing Of Meitei Couple; Cong Seeks CM’s Resignation

A Meitei couple was allegedly brutally killed by armed Kuki militants in Manipur which has been hit by ethnic violence between the two communities since May 3. The incident which reportedly took place in early July has only come to the fore now after internet was restored in Manipur. Thousands of students came out on roads in Imphal to protest the Meitei couple’s killing. Congress once again demanded Manipur CM N Biren Singh’s resignation as the state continues to be embroiled in violence.
