After banning Popular Front of India for five years, the Modi government has issued takedown orders against the 'terrorist organisation'. As per the centre's orders, all websites, social media accounts including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube handles and any social media presence of the PFI has been blocked. This is government's bid to prevent the Islamist outfit and its eight affiliates from propagating their activities hours after they were banned under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
