New MRSAM in Indian Navy's arsenal; 'Mighty' missile test-fired from INS Visakhapatnam | Watch
The Indian Navy successfully tests a medium-range surface-to-air missile (MRSAM) fired from INS Visakhapatnam, validating the capability to engage anti-ship missiles. MSRAM is a high-response, quick-reaction, vertically launched supersonic missile designed to neutralise aerial threats from enemies like missiles, aircraft, guided bombs, and helicopters. This MRSAM has been jointly developed by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). It has been manufactured by India's Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), reflecting the commitment to the Aatmanirbhar mission. The DRDO has already handed over two other versions of missiles to the Indian Army and Indian Air Force to augment the country’s air defence power. Watch this video for more.
