Poonch gunfight: 3 forces men, 1 Pakistani terrorist inmate hurt in fresh firing

For two weeks now, security forces including army are battling militants in Rajouri-Poonch forests of Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday, there was a fresh exchange of gunfire after forces were fired upon by hiding militants, leading to four injuries which include two cops, one soldier and one Pakistani terrorist inmate. Police said the terrorist was taken to the encounter site to help the forces to identify the hideout of the terrorists as he had infiltrated from the same route nearly 15 years ago from Pakistan into India. He was in jail for 14 years in Jammu and now lies injured at the encounter site. The encounter is the deadliest gunfight of 2021 in Jammu and Kashmir as it claimed lives of 9 soldiers during past two weeks. Watch this report for more.
