Nine people were killed after a car they were traveling in fell into the swollen Dhela river in Uttarakhand. Only one family member, a 22-year-old girl, was rescued alive and has been admitted to the hospital. The tragic incident took place early this morning in the Ramnagar area after the ill-fated car got washed away due to the strong current in the river induced by heavy rainfall.
