The Mayor of the South Delhi civic body has sought the closure of meat shops during Navratri. In the letter, the South Delhi mayor cited 'sentiments and feelings of the public'. The mayor added, 'sight of meat sold in the open, or near temples, makes devotees 'uncomfortable''.
