Turkey’s Erdogan Backs India’s UNSC Permanent Membership Bid; ‘World Bigger Than Five…’ | Watch

Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has backed India’s bid for the permanent seat at the UN Security Council, saying, “we would be proud” if New Delhi is added to the global body’s powerful wing. The Turkish president also pitched for rotational membership for all member states of the United States as he underlined that the world is bigger than five, a reference to the five permanent members of UNSC – United States, United Kingdom, France, China and Russia.
