Jayasuriya vows to promote Hindu sites after appointment as Lanka tourism envoy

Tourism revenue is one of the most important factors in the Sri Lankan economy. In a bid to reboot tourism, the crisis-hit nation is doing all it can to promote it. The new Sri Lankan government has appointed legendary cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya as the new tourism ambassador for the country. After taking up the new role, Sanath Jayasuriya met Indian envoy Gopal Baglay in Colombo to discuss prospects of tourism. Jayasuriya vowed to concentrate on promoting the Ramayana Trail.
