Pakistan has condemned the consecration of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, saying that the temple opening is indicative of “growing majoritarianism in India”. Islamabad said that the Ram Temple was built on the site of a demolished Babri Mosque. India’s Supreme Court in 2019 ruled in favour of Hindu side, paving the way for the construction of the temple. The court also ordered U.P. government to allot land for a new mosque in Ayodhya as it termed the demolition of Babri Masjid a criminal act. India has repeatedly told Pakistan to not interfere in its internal affairs, and that Islamabad has no right to preach New Delhi on democracy, minorities and human rights.
