Pakistan Army's Lt. General Faiz Hameed shot to fame when he was spotted in Kabul after Taliban's return to power. Faiz hameed was DG-ISI at the time of Kabul's fall to Taliban while Imran Khan was the Pakistan PM. Considered to be close to Imran, Faiz Hameed was removed as ISI chief by Pak army Chief. After Imran Khan's exit, Faiz Hameed was sidelined by Sharif government and General Qamar Javed Bajwa. One of the senior most generals in Pak, Faiz Hameed was hopeful of getting top army post in Pakistan. Shehbaz Sharif, however, snubbed Faiz Hameed and picked Asim Munir for the top post.
