Russian President Vladimir Putin made an unannounced visit to a frontline command-and-control centre in Southern Russia. The Kremlin says the control room that Putin visited is in charge of military operations in Ukraine. During his visit to the post in Rostov-on-Don, Putin was briefed by top military generals on Russia's offensive in Ukraine. Earlier, Putin also made a surprise visit to Crimea, marking the ninth anniversary of the peninsula's reunification with Russia.
