The iconic Kalashnikov AK-12 has been upgraded in light of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The thunderous and rugged rifle's fifth-generation version is ready for production. Russia’s Rostec defence consortium will produce the newest model, says a RT report. The new design reflects the experience of Russian troops in ongoing military operations in Ukraine. Russia claims that the new AK-12 model has received "major improvements" and is much more user-friendly and ergonomic. But due to the situation in Ukraine, Russia has not revealed the specific details about the "thunderous" rifle. Notably, Moscow has modified the "deadly" Kalashnikov weapon to speed up firing.
