The United States embassy in Iraq's capital Baghdad has been shelled. Seven mortar rounds landed in the compound of the embassy. There was minor damage but no injuries. The attacks come as U.S. troops are being targeted by Iran-backed militias in Iraq and Syria over its support to Israel amid the war in Gaza.
