10 dreamy images of space captured by NASA

The US space agency NASA's telescopes, explorers and observatories are known for capturing stunning images of space. Here are some of them.

This image features a stunning view of a turbulent stellar nursery. Captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, this image shows the giant nebula NGC 2014 in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way.

NASA's James Webb Space Telescope captured this amazing image of a stellar nursery in the Carina Nebula. It shows cosmic cliffs formed by gas and dust.

This spectacular image is the sharpest view of the Orion Nebula. Captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, this image shows colourful plumes of gases and dust glowing in space.

This sparkly image is of a 100-million-year-old globular cluster in the Large Magellanic Cloud where billions of stars are formed. It is approximately 160,000 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Dorado.

This astounding Hubble image is of the Antennae galaxies, a pair of galaxies colliding and merging. As the two galaxies smash together, billions of stars are born.

This spectacular image of the Andromeda galaxy was captured by NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). It is also known as Messier 31.

Here's another splendid image of the Andromeda Galaxy captured by NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX). It is approximately 2.5 million light-years away from Earth and is Milky Way's largest galactic neighbour.

This surreal image is of the blue wispy and starry remnants of a supernova in the constellation Cygnus. It was captured by NASA's Galaxy Evolution Explorer (GALEX).

Captured by NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, this image of the Lagoon Nebula shows a turbulent star-forming region spanning across four light-years. This nebula is situated about 4000 light-years away from Earth.

This beautiful sparkling image is of a massive cluster of stars in the Small Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. The stellar nursery shown here is called NGC 346.
