Increased levels of air pollution can deteriorate the quality of air and can lead to various health problems.

Here are some plants with thick leaves that help reduce air pollution.

Rubber plant

Rubber plants have large, thick and glossy leaves that make them excellent indoor plants. This plant eliminates toxic pollutants from the air and provides fresh oxygen.


Succulents such as Aloe Vera, Dracaena, Burro's tail and Echeveria have firm and thick leaves that filter the air and remove harmful pollutants such as benzene and formaldehyde that can cause breathing problems.

Snake plant

Snake plant has rigid thick leaves that help purify the air and reduce pollutants such as xylene and trichloroethylene.


This plant is an excellent indoor and outdoor plant with big and thick leaves that absorb harmful elements in the air such as carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide and convert them into oxygen.
