5 tips to water plants in summers

Supplying an adequate amount of water to your plants is essential, especially in summers as the temperature and heat rises.

Here are some crucial tips to water plants in summers.

Watering succulents

Succulents such as jade plant, snake plant and cactus thrive in summer. They can store water and need not require frequent watering. You can water then once every two days.

The leaves and stems of the plant can become dry in summers due to increasing temperatures and heatwaves. Make sure to mist them using a spray at least twice a day to keep plants fresh and healthy.

Avoid overwatering

Water the plants as long as the soil absorbs the water. Avoid over watering plants and flooding the soil as it can lead to waterlogging and rotting of roots.

Less watering for indoor plants

Avoid watering indoor plants frequently in summers as they are indoors and are not exposed to direct sunlight. Instead, water them once and mist their leaves and stems.
