5 ways to stay hydrated to help combat heatwave

Severe heatwave conditions are prevailing over North India. The scorching heat and soaring temperatures can lead to dehydration. Here are five ways to boost hydration amid a heatwave. 

Drink plenty of water

One of the best way to prevent dehydration is by drinking plenty of water through out the day.

Eat water-rich foods

Fruits and vegetables such as spinach, kale, watermelon, and muskmelon contain high water content, which helps maintain hydration and keeps your body cool.

Yoghurt

Yoghurt contains probiotics, carbohydrates, and essential fluids that can help provide hydration.

Coconut water

Coconut water is loaded with electrolytes and vital minerals, which help replenish lost fluids, provide energy, and prevent dehydration.

Avoid carbonated drinks

Avoid carbonated drinks as they contain caffeine, which can cause dehydration. Instead, opt for fresh fruit juices.
