Six militants were killed in a gun battle that erupted when security forces were conducting a search operation in Razmak sector of Waziristan tribal region, the military said.
Militants also attacked a security forces patrol with rockets and small arms in the same sector though there were no reports of casualties.
Six more militants were killed when troops repulsed an attack on a security forces position in Khyber Agency late last night.
A group of militants fired several rockets at Jhansi Camp in Bara sub-division though no security personnel were injured in the attack.
Troops also conducted search and clearance operations at several places in Jandola, Shakai and Razmak sectors of Waziristan and captured six militants.
The soldiers also cleared more than 50 militant-held compounds and houses and destroyed two bunkers and a tunnel.
Authorities in the northwest Pakistani tribal region of Darra Adam Khel today found the bodies of 10 suspected Taliban militants who were shot dead.
